MVHS art students are observing a soft texture on display based on observation. Using their knowledge of value and the methods to create a gradation of values and to create optical illusions on a toned surface pastel paper. The students must use highlights, mid tones, and shadows smoothly blended by utilizing vine charcoal, compressed charcoal and a kneaded eraser. The end result criteria need to show craftsmanship and proper rendering of flat and rendered surface using various values.
Mount Vernon High School invites you to the exhibition Learning the Language of Art: MoNA Link Student Art Exhibition, showcasing student projects from our very own MVHS Fine Arts department.
